Is AI secretly replacing your job right now without you knowing it? What do you think? Do you agree?

I got into interior design of office spaces about 8 years ago, taking a client and starting with workplace advisory to complete design study. Workplace takes time, listening what the company misses on their premises, compiling it, giving it some design idea, creating the space plan following into study. This whole process took a while, before we got into correlation between my study and client, just simply creating a study took at least 2 weeks time to get everything thought out, to fit the needs and creating study with visualizations.

So, therefore I can only see one future.. It will learn for quite a while to not do mistakes. Connect with language model that will communicate the needs instead of writing a prompt. Give it good hardware, maybe VR and no office interior designer job exists no more. Only clients sitting on chair with VR, talking to computer about their ideas, possibly changing stuff real time.

Yes it does, very efficiently.

So yes, AI is replacing my job quietly and efficiently. I am not knowing it, I am anticipating the most probable future based on what I know and certain pattern recognition.

From 2 weeks of work it made 2 hours of work and 24hours of wait time which is literally dependent on hardware which I was using about mid-range, 4 yo. The speed of high-end hardware nowdays, will most likely have it finnished the day I put the input in the program.

A year ago, my employer gave us a licence for AI tool for making the design study which basicaly worked on scheme give dwg > give prompt what you need to get designed, what is to be included, how should it look (about an hour of time) > 24 hour wait time > complete study with visual selling points even including fly through realistic visualization. Result did have its small problems, but no more than an hour of work to be done. If I needed to change anything, simply via another prompt, it will re-generate the study in almost no time.

In my opinion, architecture and designing jobs are cooked, though I should also admit, that these jobs were cooked a while ago, thanks to gentrification, but thats another story…
